This includes foreground collection while viewing the app and background collection while the app is closed, minimized, or your screen is locked during an active tracking session.

How & When Location Data is Accessed

Foreground Access: While the application is open and active on your screen, location is accessed to display your current route, map view, and live mileage counters.
Background Access ("All the time" / While App is Closed or Minimized): When you explicitly start a shift mileage tracking session, MyFlexLogger requires background location access to continue recording your miles and route even when the app is minimized, running in the background, or your device screen is locked. This is essential so you can use navigation apps (e.g., Amazon Flex, Google Maps, or Waze) simultaneously during deliveries without interrupting your mileage recording.
Session-Bound Tracking: Location access only occurs while an active trip is ongoing (between when you press "Start Trip" and when you press "Stop Trip"). MyFlexLogger does NOT monitor or record your location when you are off-duty or have not initiated a tracking session.

Purpose of Location Data Collection

We access and collect location data strictly for the following operational purposes:

Automated Mileage Tracking: Accurately calculating miles driven on delivery routes.

MyFlexLogger may utilize trusted artificial intelligence services (such as Google AI models) to power smart productivity features, including schedule parsing fallback, shift optimization suggestions, and aggregated earnings trends.

AI Privacy Safeguards:

Personal identifiers (passwords, credit card numbers, or contact lists) are never submitted to AI processing models.
Data transmitted to AI processing endpoints is processed under strict enterprise confidentiality terms and is not used to train public models without consent.
